The Kansas Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) Symposium is a two day opportunity to learn about meeting the academic and behavioral needs of all students through a Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS). This symposium is beneficial for all audiences including school board members, district and building administrators and staff as well as parent and other interested groups.
Day one of this two day symposium will be somewhat different than most conference that participants have likely attended. Day one will focus on a document titled the Kansas Multi-Tier System of Supports: Innovation Configuration Matrix (ICM). Participants will be in smaller groups to discuss and interact with the ICM to gain a more in depth understanding of MTSS in Kansas. Day two of the symposium will consist of presentations from districts in Kansas highlighting different aspects of the ICM that were discuss during day one.
